Functioning as “seed” cards for the four suits of the Minor Arcana, the Aces represent opportunities that the querent is empowered to take advantage of, should they choose to do so. In this class, we will talk about the shared features of the Ace of Wands, Ace of Cups, Ace of Swords, and Ace of Pentacles. What makes these cards unique when compared to the Major Arcana, court cards, and numbered cards?
Topics of discussion and activities include:
- Three-card “Protect, Prepare, and Process” spread to understand your own process for initiating something.
- Ace card symbols in the Marseilles, Rider-Waite-Smith, and Thoth Tarots.
- Exercises designed to gauge the personal significance each Ace card has for you.
Some of the information and exercises presented in this class come from the book, Tarot for Beginners: A Practical Guide to Reading the Cards (2010) by Barbara Moore.
